WooCommerce
WooCommerce stores connect in one click. No plugin, no code.
- 1Turn on Order AttributionIn WordPress go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Features and make sure Order attribution is enabled (WooCommerce 8.5+, on by default).
- 2Click Connect WooCommerceIn your dashboard (Overview step 2, or Store setup), click Connect WooCommerce. You'll land on your own WordPress admin.
- 3ApproveClick Approve. WooCommerce sends us read/write API keys and you're returned to the dashboard. We create two webhooks:
order.createdandorder.updated. - 4Place a test order in the appUse your app link on your phone, place a small order, and confirm it appears in App orders and the app's Orders tab.
What we use the access for
| Access | Why |
|---|---|
| Create webhooks | To register the two order webhooks automatically |
| Read orders (via webhooks) | Order number, status, totals, refunds, currency and the order attribution fields |
We don't read customer names, addresses or payment details, and we never change products, prices or orders.
How orders link to the customer's phone
When a customer finishes checkout in the app, WooCommerce shows its order-received page (/checkout/order-received/<id>/?key=wc_order_…). The app reads the order number and key from that URL and links the order to the device. Your webhook then confirms it with the same key. If you've customised the thank-you page URL, keep the key query parameter.
Delivery notifications
Add tracking numbers with the free Advanced Shipment Tracking or WooCommerce Shipment Tracking plugin (or any plugin that writes _wc_shipment_tracking_items). When an order with tracking is updated, customers automatically get “shipped with UPS”, “out for delivery” and “delivered” notifications, and the Orders tab shows a live tracker.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Approve page shows an error | Pretty permalinks must be on (Settings → Permalinks, anything except Plain), and the WooCommerce REST API must be reachable. |
| Orders aren't showing as app orders | Check Order attribution is enabled, and that a caching/CDN layer isn't stripping utm_ query parameters. |
| Webhooks show as disabled in WooCommerce | WooCommerce disables a webhook after repeated failures. Click Reconnect WooCommerce in your dashboard. |
| Security plugin blocks the webhooks | Allow outgoing requests to our webhook URL, or allowlist the WooCommerce webhook user agent. |
